Vinyasa flow yoga is a dynamic, breath synchronised practice which flow together through sun salutations, standing and seated postures. Pairing breath with movement the practice becomes a “moving meditation”. Vinyasa practice builds strength, flexibility and focus. The classes are fun and creative. Miranda often has a focus of the class, this could be anatomical or philosophical and always the option to try something new!

Vinyasa

Rocket yoga is a fast paced dynamic practiced derived from Ashtanga yoga. It is known for its playfulness, fun offering opportunities to go upside down. The practice works through sun salutations, standing sequences, balancing on feet, hands or arms, back bends and seated flows. Created by Larry Schultz, breaking from the rigid structure of ashtanga, it allows practitioners to explore at their own level, with the idea “it get’s you there faster”.

Mandala vinyasa is a creative, dynamic yoga built around circular 360-degree movements which circles the mat. Mandala in Sanskrit typically translates to “complete” or “circle”. Mandala vinyasa is themed around the four elements: earth, water, fire and air, and the chakras: seven energy centres along the spine. Mandala blends the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of yoga. Mandala vinyasa is creative, dynamic and fun. Classes typically start and end with stillness, yin poses.

Mandala

Yin yoga is a slow, passive, floor based yoga where poses are held for extended periods, often 3 to 10 minutes. The aim is to target deep connective tissue, (the facia, ligaments and joints), promoting flexibility, stillness and calming the nervous system. The emphasis is to find your edge in a pose and remain still, breathing through the sensations. A perfect compliment to the energetic yang practices.
